Job summary

BlueHeart Energy is seeking a Senior System Engineer to translate customer and product requirements into system specifications for thermoacoustic heat pumps. You will drive requirements, verification, and risk management across the product lifecycle, collaborating with the Head of Development, Product Owners, and Component Owners to ensure robust, compliant solutions.

You will lead system modeling, interface definitions, and MBSE adoption while promoting systems thinking and traceability

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in engineering or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in complex product development.
• Expertise in two or more of thermodynamics, energy systems, control or dynamic systems.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and functional decomposition.
• Experience in requirements and configuration management.
• Familiar with verification & validation and DfX approaches.

Responsibilities

• Document system and sub-system architectures and interfaces.
• Define integration strategy and manage system performance.
• Lead FMEA and risk assessments with product owners.
• Perform trade-off analyses and manage requirements traceability.
• Oversee verification strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to align subsystem goals.
