Job summary

BlueHeart Energy in the Netherlands is offering a Test Engineering Intern role to gain hands-on experience testing our heat pump technologies in a real laboratory environment.

You will support test execution on benches, assist with assembly, instrumentation, and data collection while learning how heat pump systems work and contributing to process improvements in a small, international team.

Qualifications

• Currently studying MBO or HBO in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Energy Technology, or a similar field.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel or MATLAB.
• Strong hands‑on mentality and interest in practical engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Support daily testing activities on heat pump systems and components
• Operate and monitor laboratory test benches
• Assist with assembly, instrumentation, and preparation of test setups
• Troubleshoot test benches and support root cause investigations
• Collect and pre‑analyze test data
• Help maintain test procedures and laboratory documentation
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methods and workflows
• Work closely with the Testing, Engineering, Controls, and R&D teams
