Job summary

Thorizon’ group in Amsterdam/Lyon seeks a Senior System Engineer to own and guide major systems for Europe’s first molten salt reactor demonstrator, from concept to integrated design.

You will balance performance, safety, reliability, operability and cost while coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Travel between Amsterdam and Lyon is expected; a strong English proficiency and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Holds a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience leading complex engineered systems or products.
• Strong systems engineering knowledge incl. requirements and interfaces.
• Proven ability to work across disciplines and manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of one or more major systems within the Thorizon’ Pioneer programme.
• Define, validate and manage system requirements through the design lifecycle.
• Drive system architecture, integration and interface management across disciplines.
• Balance trade-offs between performance, safety, reliability, operability and cost.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities to develop integrated solutions.
• Plan verification and validation activities to demonstrate system functions.
