Job summary

Thorizon, a European deep-tech scale-up, seeks a Project Director to lead a multidisciplinary program from detailed design through construction and commissioning. You own scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk, and work with CTO/COO, engineering teams, partners and suppliers.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in Engineering and extensive experience delivering complex capital programs in regulated environments. English is essential; Dutch is a plus. Based in the Netherlands with regular travel.

Qualifications

• You are an accomplished project or program leader with a Master’s degree in Engineering or a comparable discipline and extensive experience delivering complex systems or capital programs in a regulated, technology-intensive environment.
• You have led system integration and external partners against demanding milestones; construction, industrialisation or EPC experience is valuable.

As the company advances towards engineering, licensing, construction and commissioning, it seeks a Project Director to lead a critical development program.

As Project Director, you lead a complex multidisciplinary program from detailed design through construction and commissioning. You own scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk, establish project controls and translate technical architecture into executable plans. Working with the CTO, COO, engineering teams, partners and suppliers, you manage key trade-offs, procurement and EPC delivery. You report to the COO and are regularly present at Dutch project and partner locations.

Your profile

You are an accomplished project or program leader with a Master’s degree in Engineering or a comparable discipline and extensive experience delivering complex systems or capital programs in a regulated, technology-intensive environment. You have led system integration and external partners against demanding milestones; construction, industrialisation or EPC experience is valuable. You combine technical depth, business judgement and decisive execution, thrive in an entrepreneurial scale-up and build cross-functional alignment. Excellent English is essential and Dutch is an advantage. You are based in the Netherlands, or willing to relocate, and able to travel regularly.
