Job summary

Optics11 is seeking a Senior System Test & Validation Engineer to define and drive system-level verification for multidisciplinary products, spanning hardware, software, edge, cloud, and data processing. You own validation strategies, test setups, and campaigns, translating customer use cases into robust test plans.

In this senior hands-on role you collaborate with Product, Systems Engineering, Software, Hardware, and Operations to ensure critical workflows work reliably before release.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in system testing, verification & validation, integration testing, or product qualification.
• Experience validating complex multidisciplinary products combining hardware and software.
• Strong understanding of system-level test strategy, risk-based testing, requirements verification, and product qualification.
• Experience translating requirements and customer use cases into practical validation approaches.
• Experience designing system test setups and representative test environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across subsystem boundaries.
• Working knowledge of Linux and networking.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern engineering workflows.
• Experience with requirements traceability and verification evidence.
• Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative working style.
• Eligible for required EU/NATO/security screening or clearance, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive system-level verification and validation for multidisciplinary products.
• Translate product understanding into validation strategies, test setups, and test campaigns.
• Validate the complete system including sensing hardware, embedded software, Edge, networking, cloud software, data processing, and customer-facing applications.
• Work closely with Product, Systems Engineering, Software, Embedded, Hardware, Algorithms, and Operations teams.
• Perform hands-on validation as a senior contributor, combining system thinking with practical testing.
