Job summary

Optics11, a deep-tech company in Amsterdam, seeks a hands-on Software Test Engineer to validate software across edge devices and cloud platforms. You’ll define test strategies, execute tests, and collaborate with data scientists, developers, and architects to ensure robust software meeting functional and non-functional requirements.

You will help develop automated test frameworks, work in GitLab CI/CD, and ensure traceability from requirements to results.

Qualifications

• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira or TestRail.
• Programming or scripting skills (Python, C++, JavaScript).
• Experience building automated tests with Pytest, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar.
• Experience testing web-based GUIs and REST APIs.
• Experience with Docker, AWS, GitLab, Linux and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing across edge devices, cloud services, APIs, databases, and GUIs.
