Job summary

Deep - Hydrography & Geophysics is seeking a Senior Surveyor to lead hydrographic and geophysical projects, including offshore windfarms, salvage, and coastal defence work across Europe. You will operate primarily in Europe, joining a growing, international team with opportunities for international projects.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Ocean Technology/Oceanography/Hydrography or related field, 5+ years of experience, Qinsy proficiency, a valid EU

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ocean Technology, Oceanography, Hydrography, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Qinsy.
• In possession of an EU-residency/work permit.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Survey Operations: Execute survey operations in line with internal procedures and client specifications.
• Vessel Mobilisation: Mobilise and calibrate survey vessels.
• Data Processing: Process hydrographic survey data, create charts, and write reports.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain measuring instruments and survey equipment.
• Administrative Duties: Handle administrative requirements at the project level.

Senior Surveyors at Deep work on exciting hydrographic and geophysical projects for new developments of offshore windfarms, salvage, large infrastructural projects and climate adaptation or coastal defence work for a wide variety of clients. Deep is specialised in the nearshore marine zones and inland waterways and has an ambition to be a planet proof sustainable survey company in the next few years.

When you join us, you will operate mainly in Europe, but Deep’s aim is to have fun at work and therefore we always look for international projects to challenge Deepers to go out to places we haven’t been before. Good examples are our Antarctica survey, port surveys in Djibouti, or an UXO survey in Taiwan.

WHAT WE ASK.

• In possession of a valid driver’s license (B, preferably incl. BE)
