Job summary

Heerema Marine Contractors is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to own the structural scope on large offshore projects in Decommissioning, T&I or Wind from concept to close-out. You will act as the SPOC for structural engineering, coordinate technical decisions and lead a team of engineers across a project.

The role requires a solid offshore background, strong English communication, and willingness to work offshore or in international offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore engineering, project preparation and execution.
• Solid background in offshore structural engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with a practical, pragmatic mindset.
• Good communication in English (written and spoken).
• Supervisory and coaching skills to guide engineers and support the team.
• Ambition and flexibility to work offshore, abroad or in international offices.

Responsibilities

• Concept and detailed design of offshore lifting arrangements and steel structures (grillage, sea fastening).
• Structural strength verifications per HMC guidance and standards.
• Reviewing and approving structural deliverables (drawings, reports).
• Quality control on work delivered by colleagues and contractors.
• Share knowledge and drive continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
