HR ProjectPartners BV is seeking a Structural Designer to develop and deliver structural design solutions for offshore projects, including FPSO interfaces. You will apply engineering methods and software to produce compliant drawings and calculations.

You will work with engineers, lead designers, and package teams to ensure design intent, timely delivery, and alignment with safety and environmental requirements.

The Structural Designer is responsible for developing and delivering structural design solutions that meet the required standards for safety, reliability and sustainability. By applying technical expertise and collaborating with the wider project team, the role contributes to successful project execution and the achievement of the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural design solutions using appropriate engineering design methods, procedures and calculation tools, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, company standards, industry requirements and applicable regulations.
• Produce accurate and clearly presented structural design deliverables, using relevant engineering software to ensure that drawings and technical information can be correctly interpreted and implemented by other project stakeholders.
• Perform detailed design activities for structural topsides, taking into account the specific requirements of FPSO structures and overall plant layout.
• Apply engineering analysis and technical knowledge to support the development and verification of structural design solutions.
• Coordinate with Engineers, other Designers and the Lead Designer to exchange technical information, maintain alignment on design intent and identify and resolve design or system interface issues.
• Plan and execute assigned design activities and deliverables in line with agreed project schedules, ensuring that interfaces between disciplines and systems are properly managed.
• Monitor the progress of assigned tasks, identify potential delays and elevate unresolved technical or design issues to the Lead Designer or Engineer in a timely manner.
• Understand the impact of individual deliverables on the overall project schedule and coordinate effectively with other disciplines and stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
• Incorporate relevant lessons learned into the design process and assess the impact of design changes within and across project system boundaries.
• Work closely with Package Engineers on package engineering and manufacturing interfaces, ensuring vendor documentation is reviewed on time and that technical comments meet the required quality standards.
• Apply knowledge of safety and environmental engineering principles, including Human Factors Engineering, throughout the design process.
• Provide guidance and coordination to other Designers within the assigned scope of work.
• Take responsibility for leading Designers or acting as Lead Designer for an assigned scope of work, where required.
