Job summary

Bluewater is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to autonomously conduct and verify structural analyses for offshore structures like SPM systems and FPSO topsides. You will contribute to tool development and ensure designs meet technical specs, budget, and schedule, reporting to the Lead Engineer.

You will advance by growing within the team, with exposure to international projects, and collaboration across disciplines in an offshore energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent.
• Ambition to continuously improve engineering processes and tools.
• 8+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Knowledge of applied mechanics and materials.
• Experience with analytical calculation/design methodologies.
• Experience with FE programs, preferably ANSYS.
• Automation and Python knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously conduct and check structural analyses for designs.
• Contribute to development of tools and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, budget and planning.
• Report progress and concerns to the Lead (Project) Engineer.
• Implement HSEQ&RC requirements and participate in meetings.
• Respond promptly to interdisciplinary checks, site queries, and client/vendor requests.
• Opportunity for growth into specialist or lead engineer roles.
