Job summary

Vinted is seeking a Staff / Senior Staff Security Engineer to be the first dedicated security engineer inside IT. You’ll own the security of how Vinted works and what it builds, protecting the extended workforce including contractors and partner sites.

This hands-on build role starts by closing critical gaps, then grows into leading IT security engineering with automation and IaC, collaborating with Platform, Marketplace, Vinted Go, and Vinted Pay teams.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience securing a corporate IT estate at scale.
• Engineering mindset: automate, script, manage identity and infra as code.
• Ability to build a security practice from scratch inside an IT organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the IT security roadmap end to end: threat-model the workplace estate and drive risk closure.
• Raise security fluency of IT engineers and workforce; security as a service, not a gate.
• Make every device issued by Vinted trustworthy by default: hardened baselines across Mac, Windows and Linux.
• Secure workforce identity and access: phishing-resistant auth, joiner/mover/leaver automation, role-based access.
• Own security of SaaS and business applications: baselines, OAuth, data flows, shadow IT/reset.
