Job summary

Vinted Pay is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Security Engineer to own the security of its payments platform across multi-region AWS infrastructure and pipelines. You will translate regulatory requirements into practical guardrails, drive cross-functional security initiatives, and embed secure development into Payments engineering.

The role combines hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, reporting to the Director of Engineering and collaborating with security peers across the Vinted Group.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on security engineering in production systems.
• Experience with regulated payments (PCI DSS, FCA, Bank of Lithuania).
• Staff- or principal-level track record delivering major security initiatives.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business terms for executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the Vinted Pay security roadmap end-to-end and drive risk closure.
• Translate regulatory requirements into automated security controls and guardrails.
• Lead technical reviews of AWS infrastructure, payment pipelines, SIEM, and vulnerability tooling.
• Own PCI DSS and data protection architecture across multi-region environments.
