Job summary

Geely Auto Europe in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Specialist – Finished Vehicle Logistics to coordinate transportation of finished vehicles from storage compounds to dealer partners. You will oversee daily transport planning, manage trucking providers, track deliveries and ensure on-time, in-full arrivals.

The ideal candidate has automotive logistics experience, strong coordination and supplier management skills, and solid Excel abilities.

Qualifications

• Related degree and hands on experience in transportation, logistics, automotive logistics.
• Automotive logistics experience required.
• Strong coordination and supplier management skills.
• Good analytical and Excel skills.
• Experience with transport documentation and invoice verification is preferred.
• Great command of English & Chinese language skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport Coordination: Arrange and book vehicle transportation with approved trucking suppliers.
• Transport Coordination: Manage daily transport operations to ensure timely vehicle deliveries.
• Transport Coordination: Monitor transport progress and resolve delivery issues proactively.
• Transport Coordination: Ensure vehicles are delivered to dealers according to agreed schedules.
• Supplier Management: Maintain strong working relationships with trucking providers, within the Benelux region.
• Supplier Management: Support transport procurement activities, including rate negotiations and supplier selection.
• Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance and service quality.
• Supplier Management: Drive continuous improvement with logistics partners.
• Vehicle Release Coordination: Coordinate with compound providers to ensure vehicles are Ready for Transport (RFT).
• Vehicle Release Coordination: Confirm vehicle availability before transport booking.
• Vehicle Release Coordination: Follow up on any delays affecting vehicle release.
• Dealer Communication: Provide dealers with proactive updates on shipment status and estimated delivery times (ETA).
• Dealer Communication: Respond to dealer inquiries regarding vehicle deliveries.
• Dealer Communication: Escalate and resolve delivery-related issues when required.
• Documentation & Invoicing: Collect and archive Proof of Delivery (POD), CMRs, and other transport documents.
• Documentation & Invoicing: Verify and process monthly transportation invoices.
• Documentation & Invoicing: Ensure invoiced costs match agreed rates and completed deliveries.
• Reporting: Track delivery performance and transportation costs.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate transport records and KPI reporting.
