Job summary

TMC is seeking a Lead Engineer in Leiden to drive the development of advanced space-related systems from concept to realization.

You will lead technical teams, translate customer requirements into feasible solutions, and guide projects through design reviews and lifecycle decisions. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, product managers, sales, and cross-disciplinary engineers, with residence in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the technical leadership of challenging development projects;
• You translate customer needs into achievable technical solutions;
• You review and assess mechanical designs and 3D models;
• You support project budgeting by estimating engineering efforts and technical costs;
• You collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Managers, Sales, and multidisciplinary engineering teams;
• You provide technical guidance throughout the entire lifecycle of projects;
• You contribute to technical decision-making and the continuous improvement of products, processes, and practices;
• Residence in the Netherlands.
