Job summary

Milence is building and evolving a cloud-native platform powering its heavy-duty transport charging network across Europe. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop and scale event-driven services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js, shaping architecture and driving technical decisions.

You will collaborate with Product, Data, Cloud, IoT and business teams to deliver robust solutions while maintaining security, performance and reliability throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, backend or platform development.
• Experience designing large-scale cloud-native and event-driven applications.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js with strong API and microservices background.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and containerised deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance event-driven services, APIs and distributed applications using TypeScript, Node.js and cloud-native technologies.
• Contribute to solution architecture, software design and technical decision-making.
• Design databases, optimise data models and data flows; ensure security, performance and reliability.
• Support engineering excellence and continuous improvement of the platform and practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Cloud, IoT and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
