Job summary

Sioux Group in the Netherlands seeks a Software Designer (C#/C++/Java) to develop software for high-tech products and machines. You translate requirements into robust designs and guide a team, both on-site in Mijdrecht and at client sites across projects in semicon, analytical, and medical fields.

You will shape architecture, support integration, and contribute across the lifecycle while fostering quality and maintainability. A flexible 32-40 hour week and training budget support ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in technical software development across diverse product environments.
• 4-5 years in Semicon, Medical, or Analytical domains.
• Experience with at least two of C#, C++, Java.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns, UML, and Agile; keep technical skills up to date.
• Able to coach junior engineers.
• Team player with shared goal mindset.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
• Hold a valid European driver's license and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and system requirements into innovative, clear software concepts.
• Act as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective.
• Take responsibility for a module/subsystem across the software lifecycle.
• Ensure software quality, scalability and maintainability through best practices.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers to deliver high-quality results.
