Job summary

ITproposal B.V. is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer to architect and deliver enterprise‑grade integrations across multiple monitoring and inventory platforms in Amsterdam.

You will design data ownership rules, CI structures, and ingestion patterns using IntegrationHub, MID Server, and Import Sets to ensure reliability, scalability, and long‑term maintainability in a multi‑team environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on ServiceNow integration and architecture experience.
• Proven ability to integrate multiple enterprise systems using APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, Import Sets, and event ingestion pipelines.
• Strong understanding of CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, discovery ingestion, CI lifecycle, and event management.
• Practical exposure to tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, Flexera, SCCM, NetBox, Datadog, Active Directory, vCenter, Azure.
• Solid grounding in data transformation, reconciliation, and operational run support.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer who can architect and deliver complex, enterprise‑grade integrations across a diverse ecosystem of operational and monitoring platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in multi‑system environments, understands the nuances of CMDB and ITOM data flows, and can translate source‑system complexity into clean, governed, and scalable ServiceNow ingestion patterns.

You will be responsible for shaping the integration blueprint, defining data ownership rules, and ensuring that every integration supports reliability, observability, and long‑term maintainability.

What You Will Lead

Integration Architecture & Engineering

• Design and implement advanced integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, Import Sets, MID Server frameworks, event pipelines, and scheduled ingestion models.

• Build robust data flows from platforms such as Splunk, Zabbix, Flexera, SCCM, NetBox, and other monitoring or inventory systems.

CMDB & Operational Data Enablement

• Develop ingestion models aligned to CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, discovery, event management, and operational monitoring requirements.

• Define CI structures, lifecycle rules, reconciliation logic, and normalization standards.

Security, Reliability & Performance

• Engineer integrations with strong authentication, credential governance, error handling, retry logic, and logging.

• Optimize integration performance and ensure long‑term supportability across multi‑team environments.

Data Governance & Quality

• Establish mapping rules, transformation logic, duplicate‑prevention mechanisms, and data quality controls.

• Evaluate source‑system data readiness and ensure alignment with ServiceNow target models.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Provide guidance to developers on API usage, transform scripting, IntegrationHub flow design, MID Server operations, and best‑practice implementation patterns.

• Embed rights separation, domain segmentation, and ACL‑based access controls into integration design.

• Work independently offshore while maintaining strong collaboration with onshore architects, platform owners, and infrastructure teams.

Required Experience

• 8–10 years of hands‑on ServiceNow integration and architecture experience.

• Proven ability to integrate multiple enterprise systems using APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, Import Sets, and event ingestion pipelines.

• Strong understanding of CMDB, CSDM, ITOM, discovery ingestion, CI lifecycle, and event management.

• Practical exposure to tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, Flexera, SCCM, NetBox, Datadog, Active Directory, vCenter, Azure.

• Solid grounding in data transformation, reconciliation, and operational run support.

Preferred Background

• Experience in telecom, utilities, critical infrastructure, or other large‑scale enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with event/monitoring/observability integrations into ServiceNow Event Management.

• Understanding of OT asset structures and service‑impact relationships.

• Experience with domain separation, ACL frameworks, and restricted‑access environments.

• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS‑CMDB, CIS‑ITSM, or IntegrationHub‑related credentials.
