Job summary

Mollie is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to build scalable compliance frameworks across AML/CFT, sanctions, and governance, supporting Europe-wide expansion. You will lead a team of junior and mid-level officers, coaching and reviewing their work to raise the standard of compliance embedded across Mollie.

You will translate complex regulations into practical solutions, work with product, engineering, legal, risk, and operations, and deliver timely regulatory reporting and management

Qualifications

• 7+ years of compliance experience in a regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of PSD2/3, AMLD6, EBA Guidelines and MiCAR.
• Experience across AML/CFT and sanctions and regulatory advisory.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into practical solutions.
• Proven track record mentoring or managing junior compliance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop a robust, scalable compliance framework across AML/CFT, sanctions, and governance.
• Translate PSD2/3, AMLD6 and EBA Guidelines into actionable business requirements.
• Conduct proactive risk assessments and thematic reviews to close gaps.
• Embed compliance into product development lifecycles with cross-functional teams.
• Deliver high-quality regulatory reporting and senior management updates.
• Mentor and elevate the compliance team to raise the bar.
