Job summary

Mollie is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to shape scalable compliance for Europe. You will own the frameworks, lead a team, and partner across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk and Operations to embed compliance by design.

You bring 7+ years in regulated financial services, deep knowledge of PSD2, AMLD, EBA Guidelines and MiCAR, and a proven track record mentoring others. This role influences Mollie’s 350,000+ merchants and supports growth across Europe.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of compliance experience in regulated financial institutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of PSD2, AMLD, EBA Guidelines, MiCAR.
• Experience in AML/CFT and sanctions and regulatory advisory.
• Ability to translate regulations into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Build a robust compliance framework across AML/CFT, sanctions, and governance for Europe expansion.
• Translate PSD2/3, AMLD6 and EBA Guidelines into actionable business requirements.
• Conduct proactive risk assessments and thematic reviews to close gaps.
• Embed compliance into product lifecycles with Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Ops.
• Deliver high-quality regulatory reporting and management-level deliverables.
• Mentor and develop the compliance team to raise performance.
