Senior Regional Operations Leader – Pharma Logistics Hub

Job summary

SkyCell AG in Venlo, Netherlands, is seeking a Senior (Regional) Operations Manager to lead daily Hub operations, coordinating container planning, distribution and quality processes.

You will work closely with Warehouse, MRO and Control Tower teams to ensure SOPs are current, trainings delivered, and deviations escalated and resolved. This on-site role requires deep logistics expertise and fluency in English, with opportunities to drive efficiency across the EMEA network.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain or operations.
• Proficient in container logistics in a warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, SOP creation, and process documentation.
• Experience with ERP/inventory systems, Confluence, Jira, and MS Office.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Clear communicator with cross-team collaboration.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily Hub operations based on demand.
• Plan container pre-conditioning and distribution across Hub and EMEA stations.
• Coordinate shipments with the Control Tower and align priorities with MRO and Warehouse Managers.
• Oversee the container quality process from reception through handover and track pre-conditioning success.
• Identify and escalate non-conformances, repeat failures and systemic quality issues, including CAPA management.
• Own and maintain Hub Operations SOPs; ensure documentation is current and understood.
• Act as operational backup across Hub functions during peak periods and absences.
• Process and maintain operational data in IT systems and apply freight forwarding knowledge.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of Warehouse staff on SOPs, tools, safety and quality requirements.
• Track training completion and maintain training records in line with compliance.
• Identify process gaps and lead updates to processes and documentation.
• Maintain cross-functional understanding of Hub workflows to support collaboration.
