Job summary

DeltaQuad is seeking an experienced Senior R&D Project Manager in the Netherlands to oversee a suite of parallel developments. You will keep the big picture, track milestones, and ensure updates reach leadership. You will update ClickUp and guide teams on process changes as we scale.

You bring 7–10 years in high-tech PM, with proficiency in ClickUp/Jira/Monday and solid knowledge of Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methods. English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of project management experience, preferably in R&D or high-tech product development.
• Experience managing milestones and deadlines across internal teams and external partners.
• Proficient with a project management tool such as ClickUp, Jira, or Monday.
• Solid knowledge of Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies and when to apply each.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Keep the big picture of multiple projects and track top-level milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain and update the project management system (ClickUp) and turn it into clear updates for leadership.
• Serve as a sparring partner on ways of working and decide which approach fits each project.
• Provide oversight to ensure milestones are met and nothing falls through the cracks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align schedules and deliveries.
• Maintain oversight so R&D stays under control as complexity grows.

As a Senior R&D Project Manager, you keep the big picture of everything we develop, so our ideas reach the air on time.

On a mission

DeltaQuad develops advanced VTOL UAV systems for defense, public safety, and commercial operators worldwide. Demand is growing fast, and so is the number of developments we run in parallel. That is why we are building an organization that can scale with it.

The role

Our R&D department runs a wide range of work at the same time: our own roadmap developments, custom customer integrations, service and support, and production support. You are a senior Project Manager who brings oversight and structure to it all.

You keep the big picture. Our Program Managers lead the technical content of their developments, while you check in with each of them, track top-level milestones and deadlines, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks, internally or with external parties. You keep our project management system (ClickUp) up to date and turn it into clear updates for our Manager R&D & Engineering.

You also serve as a sparring partner on our ways of working. As we grow, how we organize our projects keeps evolving, and you help decide which approach fits each project. With the number of parallel developments set to grow, your overview keeps R&D in control.

What you bring

You are an experienced project manager with a strong sense of high-tech product development. You understand what engineers are working on well enough to ask the right questions, spot risks early, and bring structure without slowing the team down. You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering or other technical field, or you have comparable experience. You also bring:

• Around 7 to 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in R&D or high-tech product development
• Proven proficiency with a project management tool such as ClickUp, Jira, or Monday
• Solid knowledge of Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, and of when to apply which
• Experience managing milestones and deadlines across internal teams and external partners
• Professional proficiency in English

Nice to have

Experience with UAVs, aerospace, defense, robotics, or other complex hardware and software products.
