Job summary

DeltaQuad in the Netherlands seeks a Senior R&D Project Manager to maintain the big-picture view across parallel UAV developments, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met and updates are clearly communicated to leadership.

You will coordinate internal teams and external partners, update ClickUp, and guide project workflows with Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches as the organization scales.

As a Senior R&D Project Manager, you keep the big picture of everything we develop, so our ideas reach the air on time.

On a mission

DeltaQuad develops advanced VTOL UAV systems for defense, public safety, and commercial operators worldwide. Demand is growing fast, and so is the number of developments we run in parallel. That is why we are building an organization that can scale with it.

The role

Our R&D department runs a wide range of work at the same time: our own roadmap developments, custom customer integrations, service and support, and production support. You are a senior Project Manager who brings oversight and structure to it all.

You keep the big picture. Our Program Managers lead the technical content of their developments, while you check in with each of them, track top-level milestones and deadlines, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks, internally or with external parties. You keep our project management system (ClickUp) up to date and turn it into clear updates for our Manager R&D & Engineering.

You also serve as a sparring partner on our ways of working. As we grow, how we organize our projects keeps evolving, and you help decide which approach fits each project. With the number of parallel developments set to grow, your overview keeps R&D in control.

What you bring

You are an experienced project manager with a strong sense of high-tech product development. You understand what engineers are working on well enough to ask the right questions, spot risks early, and bring structure without slowing the team down. You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering or other technical field, or you have comparable experience. You also bring:

• Around 7 to 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in R&D or high-tech product development
• Proven proficiency with a project management tool such as ClickUp, Jira, or Monday
• Solid knowledge of Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, and of when to apply which
• Experience managing milestones and deadlines across internal teams and external partners
• Professional proficiency in English

Nice to have

Experience with UAVs, aerospace, defense, robotics, or other complex hardware and software products.
