The Role

We are looking for a Senior Purchaser with 8+ years of experience in fruit and vegetable ingredients — someone who knows the market, understands the crops, and can act decisively when it matters.

In this role, you take ownership of our global sourcing strategy. You monitor crop developments and market dynamics closely, build and maintain long‑term supplier relationships, and negotiate with confidence. You know when to move and when to wait — and you have the track record to back it up.

You work closely with the purchase, sales and broader teams; ensuring procurement is tightly aligned with sales, quality, logistics, and operations. You bring structure, market depth, and commercial discipline to everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute the global sourcing strategy for fruit and vegetable ingredients, including juices, concentrates, and purées.
• Monitor crop cycles, pricing mechanisms, and supply dynamics to anticipate market movements and inform purchasing decisions.
• Build and maintain deep, long‑term relationships with growers, processors, and suppliers worldwide.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, volumes, quality specifications, and contract terms.
• Manage purchase orders, delivery planning, and supplier performance.
• Ensure tight alignment with sales, logistics, quality, and operations.
• Identify and develop new sourcing opportunities and supplier partnerships.
• Contribute actively to margin management and working capital optimization.

Who We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the fruit and vegetable ingredients industry (for example; juices, concentrates, purees and fibres).
• Deep knowledge of the market: crop dynamics, pricing mechanisms, quality parameters, and processing constraints.
• Deep market knowledge of fruit and vegetable ingredients, combined with a solid understanding of processing technologies and production requirements.
• Proven track record in international sourcing and supplier management.
• Strong commercial instinct with sharp negotiation skills and margin awareness.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, make confident decisions, and take ownership.
• Strong communicator and relationship builder – internally and externally.
• Hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; additional European languages are a plus.
