Job summary

Kraft Heinz is seeking a Project and Engineering Senior Manager to support the Head of Capital Projects & Engineering, Europe, in delivering capital projects in line with business goals while upholding quality, environmental, and safety standards.

The role focuses on strategic planning, rigorous project execution, technical excellence, and strong stakeholder management across the Europe region, with responsibility to collaborate with Plant and Engineering teams and the KHMS framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects delivery aligned with objectives and compliance.
• Coordinate with plant Project and Engineering Managers for the 3-year master plan.
• Ensure timely completion, budget accuracy and quality delivery of projects.
• Evaluate project CARs and schedules, budgets, scope and constructability.
• Support project CAR development, Pre-CAR, Emergence CAR, FEL preparation and presentations.
• Evaluate and act as the first approver for project scope changes impacting scope, budget, and timelines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Supply Chain Development, Procurement, and Logistics.
• Ensure compliance with Engineering Standards, Preferred Suppliers, and Project Procedures.
• Support Head of CAPEX and Engineering in implementing KHMS and design standards.
• Identify and develop opportunities to improve equipment, production lines, and operating systems.
• Develop relationships with Factory Managers, Package Sponsors, and Operations Leadership.
• Provide technical guidance on project-related matters.
• Lead the KHMS Engineering Pillar adoption within factories and ensure technical excellence across the Capital Engineering team.
• Collaborate with the PMO to prepare project status reports.
• Act as Project Manager for confidential projects when requested.
• Support plant Project Engineering Leads in master data handover during project close-out to enable maintenance and asset activation.

The Project and Engineering Senior Manager will support the Head of Capital Projects & Engineering, Europe, in delivering capital projects that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards. This role emphasizes strategic planning, project execution, technical expertise, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with plant Project and Engineering Managers to maintain the 3-year master plan.
• Ensure the successful execution of capital projects by challenging and supporting plants project teams to guarantee timely completion, budget accuracy, and quality delivery.
• Critically evaluate Project CARs, challenging schedules, budgets, scope, and constructability while promoting solutions that meet business needs.
• Support Project Team as a focal point of knowledge and reviewer during project CAR/Pre-CAR/Emergence CAR development, Pre-TPR, TPR, and FEL preparation and presentations.
• Evaluate and act as the first approver for project scope changes that impact scope, budget, and/or timelines, leading the supplementary CAR preparation and approval process.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain Development, Procurement, and Logistics, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Engineering Standards, Preferred Suppliers, and Project Procedures.
• Support the Head of CAPEX and Engineering in implementing robust project management processes, enforcing KHMS also on design.
• Drive plant Engineering Managers to identify and develop opportunities for improving existing equipment, production lines, and operating systems to maximize efficiency and output.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Factory Managers, Package Sponsors, and the Operations Leadership Team.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on project-related matters.
• Lead the adoption of the Engineering Pillar of the Manufacturing Playbook (KHMS) within factories and ensure technical excellence across the Capital Engineering team.
• Collaborate with the PMO to prepare project status reports.
• Act as Project Manager for confidential projects when requested, supporting the Business, Network Design, and SCD teams with project management expertise until the handover to the project team.
• Support plant Project Engineering Leads in the master data handover process during project completion/close-out to ensure a seamless transition to maintenance and asset activation on the books.
