Job summary

Leyden Labs is seeking a (Sr.) Program Director, Late Development to lead one or more company‑critical development programs. This highly visible role will serve as the primary integrator across functions, connecting strategy, execution, governance, and decision‑making throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in chemistry, biology, medical sciences, biotechnology, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in biotech/pharma with 5+ years leading late-stage development programs.
• Deep drug-development lifecycle understanding including pivotal trials, regulatory submissions, and cross-functional activities.
• Ability to integrate scientific, clinical, regulatory, CMC, quality, and business considerations into coherent program strategies.
• Experience leading internal/external development activities with cross-functional partners and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated late-stage development strategy and plan across functions.
• Lead cross-functional program teams with clear objectives, priorities, deliverables, timelines and accountability.
• Build and sustain a high-performing program team delivering against shared goals.
• Frame strategic options and risks, presenting recommendations to the Executive Team.
• Enable timely decisions through disciplined governance and concise progress updates.
• Create a compelling program vision and translate it into actionable direction for the team.
• Lead through influence in a matrix organization across senior stakeholders and external partners.
