Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead a data and infrastructure platform initiative in Amsterdam. You will govern platform access, consolidate scheduling tooling, and accelerate AI-assisted data migrations while preserving developer experience.

You will drive data ingestion, retirement of legacy systems, and cost-efficient compute strategies, collaborating with Data Mesh Enablement and Managed Data Products teams to define the overall technical strategy for

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of product management experience on a data or infrastructure platform team.
• Direct experience stewarding technical roadmaps.
• Ability to read system architecture and pipeline dependencies to guide sequencing with engineering.
• Track record of cross-team migrations and retirements.
• Willingness to learn and be transparent about growth areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage governed platform access for engineers, analysts, and services.
• Streamline orchestration and scheduling by consolidating fragmented scheduling tools.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to migrate jobs faster with less manual engineering effort.
• Drive data ingestion and replication through self-service platform capabilities.
• Oversee retirement of legacy systems and ensure clear ownership handoffs.
• Optimize compute cost efficiency without reducing developer experience.
• Advance compute strategy diversification across multiple compute engines.
• Build an AI-ready platform substrate with governed access and audit trails for agents.
• Use AI agents in daily work and establish norms for agentic workflows.
• Protect team focus and steward outcomes.
• Build trust across engineering, domain teams, and leadership through clear communication.
• Collaborate with Data Mesh Enablement, Managed Data Products, and agentic workflows teams on an overall technical strategy.
