Axelera AI is seeking a Developer Relations and Community Manager to grow our developer ecosystem around the Voyager SDK and Metis platform. You will engage builders across GitHub, forums, and social channels, organize events, and help shape our open-source journey with community input.

A blend of technical storytelling, product advocacy, and community health will drive engagement and adoption. This role is globally distributed with flexible remote options in Europe.

Qualifications

Position Overview

As a Developer Relations and Community Manager at Axelera AI, you will be responsible for growing the developer base using Axelera technologies in the industry. Your primary focus will be on building trust and credibility within our growing developer and customer community — both within the Axelera AI community (community.axelera.ai) and within relevant and established third party developer platforms (Reddit, Discord, etc). You will be measured on the number of developers actively participating and using our Voyager toolchain including the Voyager SDK, Axelera Wingman. You will engage with our audience, promote our products, and keep our community running as a genuinely useful, well-moderated space, adding real value to the developers and customers working with Axelera Tech.

Key responsibilities:

• Community Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact across our community platform (Gainsight experience helpful), GitHub, and social channels — responding to technical questions, moderating discussions, and helping developers who are debugging real deployments (driver issues, SDK compatibility, performance tuning) get to the right resource or person.
• Content Creation & Curation: Develop and share content that resonates with a technical audience — product update posts, tutorials, social updates, and newsletters. Use AI tools to accelerate drafting, repurposing, and localizing content, while maintaining a distinct human voice and technical accuracy — every AI-assisted piece is reviewed and fact-checked before it goes out, especially anything referencing SDK versions, benchmarks, or hardware specs.
• Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with key influencers, edge AI leaders, and power users already active in our community — including hobbyists and integrators who've built on Metis with Raspberry Pi, Home Assistant, and similar maker-space tools.
• Event Planning: Organize and host community events, webinars, and meetups (in person and virtual) tied to product launches (e.g. Voyager SDK releases, new Metis form factors, the upcoming Europa AIPU) and major industry events (e.g. ISC West, Embedded World).
• Product Advocacy: Showcase Voyager SDK and Metis AIPU capabilities to the community, gather and route feedback to product teams, and advocate for community-requested features and model zoo additions.
• Community Growth & Health: Grow the community organically while keeping signal-to-noise high — this includes maintaining a healthy forum (tagging, categorization, response-time SLAs) and using AI-assisted tools to triage and route incoming questions so nothing sits unanswered.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track community engagement and health metrics (response times, resolution rates, sentiment, growth), and use AI-assisted analysis to spot trends and surface actionable insights faster than manual review would allow.
• Open-Source Collaboration: Encourage contributions to Voyager SDK (issues, forks, PRs), highlight community-built solutions, and work directly with community members and internal engineering to help resolve technical issues posted publicly.

Qualifications:

• Industry Knowledge & Experience: Solid understanding of the AI hardware landscape, with experience in community management or developer relations in a technical (ideally semiconductor, embedded, or AI/ML tooling) company.
• Credibility: An existing presence or credibility within AI/developer communities, with a track record of building relationships with technical stakeholders.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, able to translate SDK-level and hardware-level detail into clear, engaging content for a range of audiences (from hobbyists to enterprise engineers).
• Technical & Social Platform Fluency: Comfortable in developer-facing platforms (GitHub, forums, Discord/Slack-style tools) as well as standard social channels and community management tooling.
• Effective AI Usage: Demonstrated, practical fluency with modern AI tools (LLM-based writing/research assistants, AI-assisted analytics, content generation tools) and good judgment about when human review and accuracy checks are non-negotiable. Comfortable evaluating AI output critically rather than publishing it verbatim.
• Software Development Literacy: Good working understanding of the software/SDK development lifecycle, enough to follow technical discussions around model deployment, drivers, and pipeline building without needing translation.
• Maker-Space Experience: Experience with or genuine interest in the maker community (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, single-board computers, home automation) — a real and active part of our current user base.
• Passion for Community Building: Genuine interest in supporting a technical, self-sustaining community — not just growing numbers, but keeping it useful and trustworthy.
• Creative & Strategic Thinking: Able to design and execute community strategies that drive both engagement and genuine product adoption.
• Analytical Skills: Comfortable working with engagement data and metrics, including using AI-assisted tools to process and interpret them, to inform community strategy.

We offer a flexible working arrangement, with options to:

• Work from one of our Axelera AI offices (Leuven in Belgium, Amsterdam and Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Florence and Milan in Italy or Bristol in the United Kingdom) if you're already based in the vicinity.
• Work fully remotely from any European country (incl. the UK) you are already in.
