Job summary

Fluence Energy in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Portfolio Finance Manager to act as the financial cornerstone of our project execution team. You will drive commercial aspects using SAP, Unifier, and other systems to ensure accounting compliance and contract integrity.

This role collaborates with internal teams, customers, suppliers and contractors to translate complex project economics into actionable insights and robust financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or business.
• PMP is a plus for project management.
• 3+ years in construction or long-term service contracts in energy.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle and financial implications.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project contract administration and financial transparency.
• Partner with project managers for real-time budget visibility.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and providers to meet timelines.
• Manage change orders, risk/opportunity analyses, and invoicing reviews.
• Lead project reviews from start to close with accurate reporting and forecasting.
• Drive profitability through strategic handling of change orders and claims.
• Communicate financial insights to project teams clearly.
• Maintain budget integrity and monthly accruals.
