Job summary

IMPROVEN in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Consultant Project & Portfolio Management who connects strategy, projects and operations, advising directors and senior management on the design of projects and portfolios to deliver value with clarity and governance.

You will develop processes, frameworks and prioritisation mechanisms that enable predictable execution and strengthen PMO capabilities across client organisations in a consultancy setting.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of relevant experience, preferably within municipalities or the state.
• Experience with PPM/portfolio management and implementing governance structures.
• Proven ability to advise C-level and manage complex stakeholder networks.
• Familiarity with PMO design, portfolio governance and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Advise directors and senior management on project and portfolio design, prioritisation and governance.
• Develop processes, frameworks and prioritisation mechanisms for predictability and steering.
• Lead or professionalise PMO functions to improve organisational manageability.
• Set up and optimise project and portfolio management processes and reporting structures.
• Advise on and implement PPM software to support structured decision-making.
• Translate strategy into structure, rhythm and measurable results for clients.
