Job summary

IMPROVEN is seeking a Senior Consultant Project & Portfolio Management to drive strategic project portfolio improvements. You will advise directors and senior management on portfolio design, governance and investments, and help establish PMO capabilities that improve predictability and value delivery.

You will optimise processes, prioritisation, reporting and decision-making while coaching teams in professional project work and advancing change management across client organisations.

Qualifications

• Senior role advising directors on the design and governance of projects and portfolios.
• Develop and implement project and portfolio management processes, frameworks and prioritisation mechanisms.
• Set up a PMO or professionalise existing PMO functions to improve governance and delivery.
• Translate strategy into structure, rhythm and results, guiding change across organisations.
• Experience with portfolio governance, decision-making and prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Advise organisations at strategic level on setting up and optimising their complete project and programme portfolio.
• Guide organisations in transitioning to a mature, professional project-based way of working.
• Develop and implement PMO processes, decision-making frameworks, prioritisation and reporting structures.
• Advise on and implement PPM software to support structured decision-making.
• Set up a PMO or professionalise existing PMO functions.
• Advise directors and senior management on project selection, portfolio decisions and strategic investments.
• Establish, improve and secure a solid foundation for project and portfolio archiving including standards and version control.
