Job summary

Workato is seeking a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer to own and advance our highly autonomous infrastructure ecosystem. You will influence platform direction, shape reliability, and contribute to future infrastructure initiatives.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving problems across multiple infrastructure domains and taking ownership of end-to-end delivery while operating in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Senior Platform/SRE engineer or similar.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Strong Linux internals and infrastructure fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure and platform services.
• Improve platform reliability via monitoring, incident management, and automation.
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes-based compute platform.
• Work with AWS production infrastructure (EC2, VPC, Load Balancers).
• Build and enhance observability (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting).
• Participate in security and compliance initiatives, including vulnerability remediation and hardening.
• Assist onboarding of new services and enable transitions between teams.
• Own projects end-to-end from dependencies to delivery.
• Participate in production releases and on-call rotations.
• Explore opportunities to reduce operational overhead via design improvements.
