Qualifications

• Senior-level Terraform and IaC across cloud providers.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience at architectural level (GKE/EKS/AKS or equivalent).
• Proven CI/CD experience at scale across multiple teams.
• Hands-on ArgoCD in production environments.
• Strong GitOps experience (ArgoCD/Flux) across multiple contexts.
• Platform mindset: build for usability and developer experience while ensuring infrastructure correctness.
• Java experience is not required for this role.

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native platform infrastructure with Kubernetes as a first-class citizen and architecture-level ownership.
• Own and evolve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, setting standards.
• Build and scale CI/CD pipelines serving multiple teams and workloads.
• Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, driving deployment consistency and auditability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform reliability.
• Help build an Internal Developer Platform that enables teams to self-serve infrastructure and deployment capabilities.

For one of our key clients in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who lives and breathes cloud-native infrastructure. This isn't a role for someone who has "worked with Kubernetes", it's for someone who has architected it, scaled it, and owned it across complex production environments. You'll be building and evolving a platform that engineering teams depend on every day, with GitOps and Internal Developer Platform thinking at its core.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native platform infrastructure with Kubernetes as a first-class citizen, architecture-level ownership, not just operations.
• Own and evolve Infrastructure as Code at senior level using Terraform, setting standards, not just implementing them.
• Build and scale CI/CD pipelines that serve multiple teams and workloads at scale, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure delivery.
• Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, driving deployment consistency and auditability across environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform reliability.
• Contribute to and potentially help build an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that enables teams to self-serve infrastructure and deployment capabilities.

What we're looking for

• Senior-level Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience across cloud providers, you set the standard, not just follow it.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience, GKE, EKS, AKS or equivalent, at an architectural level. This goes well beyond having worked with it.
• Proven CI/CD experience at scale, multiple teams, multiple pipelines, complex workloads.
• Hands‑on ArgoCD experience in a production environment.
• Solid GitOps experience, ArgoCD, Flux, or both, across more than one employer or context.
• A platform mindset: you build for others, optimise for usability, and care about developer experience as much as infrastructure correctness.
• Java experience is not required for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience building or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• CKAD or CKA certification, or equivalent demonstrable depth in Kubernetes.
• Experience with landing zones, cloud governance, and IaC standards at an enterprise scale.
