Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform team in Amsterdam. You will own and evolve the developer platform that powers Flexport engineering, delivering paving paths, self-serve tooling, and robust CI/CD pipelines to enable engineers to ship faster.

You will collaborate across backend and frontend domains, own tooling like Gradle/Bazel/npm, and ensure strong observability with Openmetrics and Datadog, while advancing our GraphQL/gRPC ecosystem and IAM primitives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building developer platforms or internal tooling.
• Deep full-stack instincts across backend and frontend pipelines.
• Strong product instincts for internal users and ability to measure impact.
• Expertise with CI/CD systems, container orchestration, and multi-language build tooling.
• Experience with GraphQL and gRPC, service-to-service communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the developer platform powering Flexport engineering.
• Build paved paths and self-serve tooling to help engineers move faster and safely.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, build tooling, and artifact repositories.
• Improve backend and frontend developer experience and maintain observability.
