QBE Insurance in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior PI Underwriter to lead Professional Indemnity underwriting, shaping growth and profitability. You will manage PI risks, strengthen broker partnerships, and contribute to strategic development within the Dutch market.

The role offers hybrid working, partnership with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to expand into other Financial Lines while maintaining portfolio performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive PI underwriting experience with a track record of growing profitable portfolios.
• Strong understanding of the Dutch insurance market, broker networks, and PI dynamics.
• Ability to analyse data and interpret insights; proficient with Excel and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite PI risks in line with business plan, appetite, delegated authority and regulatory requirements.
• Support development and execution of the PI underwriting strategy within Financial Lines.
• Apply a reinsurance strategy to safeguard the portfolio.
• Participate in meetings to share knowledge and best practices.
• Promote the department and company to maximize brand leverage.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
• Continually develop technical knowledge and expertise.
• Ensure accurate recording of risks and regulatory compliance.
• Possibility to work on other Financial Lines products.
