Job summary

QBE Insurance Group is seeking a Head of Property to lead and develop our Property portfolio across the Netherlands. This senior role will drive underwriting strategy, portfolio performance and team excellence while strengthening market position for sustainable growth.

You will underwrite complex risks, negotiate terms, ensure regulatory compliance and mentor high‑performing teams. The position offers hybrid work and a clear path to impact in a multinational insurer.

Qualifications

• Extensive and in-depth knowledge of Property insurance market dynamics.
• Proven expertise in Property underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance structures and capital efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and personal authority.
• Negotiate rates, terms and conditions for existing and new business.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
• Support development of the annual business plan for the Property portfolio and ensure delivery.
