Job summary

Axient Systems B.V. in Delft is seeking an experienced optomechanical engineer to own the coupled thermal-structural-optical chain of a high-performance imaging satellite.

You will steer cross-disciplinary analysis across mechanical, optical and thermal domains to maintain focus and alignment in orbit. You will lead the STOP analysis end-to-end, manage the alignment budget with payload interfaces, and drive design reviews with robust margins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in optomechanical design or analysis of precision optical systems.
• Experience with STOP analysis chains and related tools.

Responsibilities

• System-level optical performance analysis and STOP chain ownership.
• Lead alignment budget and stability across design cycles.
• Coordinate with payload supplier on mounting and alignment.
