Job summary

Sioux Group in Eindhoven seeks a Senior Optical Designer to guide the entire product creation process from concept to industrialization for high-tech systems. You will shape optical strategies for wafer steppers, electron microscopes and related equipment.

You collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers and work at client sites. A strong physics background and hands-on design experience are essential to drive robust, innovative optical solutions.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in physics or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the design, realization, verification and industrialization of optical systems for the high-tech industry, including lens and illumination design as well as imaging / machine vision applications.
• Experience with system integration of optical subsystems including opto-mechanics, tolerance analysis, metrology, and calibration.
• Strong understanding of optical measurement techniques, including holography and ptychography.
• Excellent modelling, experimental and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Good communication with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Apply your optical system design expertise to realize innovative solutions for the high-tech industry.
• Be involved throughout the product creation process from ideation to verification testing.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated optical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide colleagues from other disciplines in project realization.
