Job summary

Axient Systems B.V. in Delft is seeking a mechanical engineer to own the structural dynamics and micro-vibration for a high-performance optical satellite. You will manage modal and coupled-loads analyses, stiffness budgets, and provide model-backed insights for design reviews.

You will work with diverse teams including optomechanical engineers, suppliers, and launch providers, ensuring traceability of models and transparent communication of margins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in structural analysis of space or high-reliability systems.
• Familiar with finite element analysis, including modal and coupled-loads.
• Fluent Dutch and able to communicate with non-specialists.
• Experience with launch vehicle coupled-loads cycles.
• ECSS structural standards knowledge.
• Eligible for Dutch VGB-B clearance.
• Engineering degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the structural dynamics and micro-vibration for a high-performance optical satellite.
• Perform modal analysis, coupled-loads with the launch provider, and stiffness requirements.
• Develop, run, and validate analysis models across design cycles.
• Support test correlation and mechanical qualification.
• Present results at design reviews with margins rationale.
