Job summary

cosine is seeking a Thermo-Mechanical Engineer to shape next‑gen space-borne optical instruments. Based at our Netherlands headquarters, you will work on missions that fly on satellites and asteroid explorers, ensuring performance, precision and reliability in orbit.

You’ll join an international team with a start‑up mindset and shape hardware from design to qualification testing. You will contribute to end‑to‑end solutions in hybrid work settings, with a competitive salary and development

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience in thermo-mechanical design and analysis, preferably in space
• Strong understanding of thermal and structural behavior under extreme conditions

Responsibilities

• Lead thermo-mechanical design of high-precision optical instruments for space applications.
• Perform thermal and structural analyses for launch and orbital conditions.
• Support development cycle from concept through assembly, integration and qualification testing
• Collaborate with optical, mechanical and systems engineers in an international team
• Solve complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
