ASMPT in Beuningen, Netherlands is seeking a Principal Optomechanical Engineer to drive disruptive advances in Advanced Packaging, delivering precise optical and mechanical solutions for machine alignment, vision, and inspection. You will balance hands-on design with collaboration across multiple disciplines to push the boundaries of semiconductor equipment.

This senior role requires a MSc in a relevant field and 10+ years of experience, with proven Zemax optical design, CAD, and FEM expertise.

Qualifications

MSc in a relevant technical field with 10+ years in optomechanical development.
Proven expertise in optical design using Zemax and CAD.
Experience with high-precision industrial machine design and metrology.

Responsibilities

Develop innovative optomechanical concepts for alignment, vision, and inspection systems.
Collaborate with domain experts to run simulations and optimize performance.
Lead testing and integration of prototypes and initial production series.
Balance accuracy and throughput in optical alignment strategies.
Collaborate with global teams across Beuningen, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Occasional international travel to Asia and Europe product development centers.
