Job summary

Sioux Group in the Netherlands seeks a Software Designer skilled in C#, C++, and Java to develop high-tech software for semicon, analytical, and medical equipment projects. You’ll translate requirements into robust designs and guide a development team from Mijdrecht, with travel to client sites.

You will contribute technically while mentoring engineers, drawing on 7+ years of experience, and collaborating across domains to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in technical software development across diverse product environments.
• 4–5 years of experience in technical domains such as Semicon, Medical, or Analytical.
• Experience with C#, C++, or Java (at least two).
• Knowledge of development methodologies such as Design Patterns, UML, and Agile; willingness to apply them in practice.
• Ability to coach junior engineers and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and system requirements into innovative, clear concepts during the conceptual phase.
• Act as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective.
• Take responsibility for a module/subsystem throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure software quality, scalability and maintainability through sound engineering practices.
• Apply strong communication skills to guide and mentor a team of engineers.
