Job summary

Vistra in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Onboarding Manager to lead end-to-end client onboarding, including KYC, risk assessments and handover to Service Delivery teams. You will collaborate with commercial, Compliance and operations to create a seamless, compliant client journey, driving efficiency and risk mitigation while supporting cross-sell opportunities across Vistra’s services.

The role requires 2–5 years in client onboarding, a finance or business degree, and familiarity with Dutch

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for Netherlands clients.
• Act as the primary Onboarding contact for new clients, coordinating with commercial and service delivery teams.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Service Delivery and commercial teams to meet onboarding requirements on time.
• Maintain governance data and leverage technology to improve client lifecycle management.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling Vistra services during onboarding.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Onboarding Manager. Reporting to the Head of Onboarding EME, this full-time, permanent position is based in the Netherlands and offers local coverage.

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Onboarding Manager for the Netherlands will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the full spectrum of onboarding activities, from working with the commercial teams, clients, completing KYC, performing risk assessments and handover to the Service Delivery teams. This role ensures a seamless and compliant client experience while working closely with internal stakeholders and clients. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency, risk mitigation, and process enhancements to optimize the client journey.

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding and Due Diligence

• Plan, manage and oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring timely and efficient client activation.
• Act as the primary Onboarding contact for new clients, working with the commercial and service delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition into Vistra.
• Collaborate with internal teams (commercial, Compliance, Service Delivery) to agree plans and ensure all onboarding requirements are achieved in a timely manner.

Process Governance & Optimization

• Maintain data to support management oversight (local, regional and global) of process effectiveness and enable processing risks to be identified and managed quickly
• Leverage technology, automation, and data analytics to improve client lifecycle management. Look for opportunities to add value and reduce the costs of processing
• Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure alignment of onboarding processes with organizational goals

Operational Excellence

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the onboarding process for individual clients, and across the process as a whole.
• Partner with compliance teams to manage regulatory changes impacting the onboarding activities.
• Leverage technology and automation tools to improve onboarding workflows and reduce manual effort.

Supporting Business Development and Growth

• Support business development efforts by providing onboarding expertise in client pitches and proposals.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional Vistra services during the onboarding process.
• Support with uploading and maintaining opportunities on V Force

Attributes and Technical skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with clients and internal teams effectively
• Ability to assess risks, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements
• Basic knowledge of AML/KYC regulatory requirements, and industry standards
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a client-centric approach.
• 2 - 5 years of experience in client services, onboarding and KYC, or client lifecycle management
• Familiarity with Dutch Corporate structures and/or European corporate clients
• Experience with onboarding corporate clients within a Corporate Services, Fund Administration or Financial Services Provider under both WTT and WWFT regimes

Education and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
