Vistra Netherlands invites applications for a Senior Financial Services Accountant Corporates to service an international client portfolio from Amsterdam. You report to the Manager Accounting Services Corporates and collaborate with seasoned accountants, relationship managers and legal colleagues to ensure high client satisfaction.

You will prepare financial statements, bookkeeping, reporting and tax returns, while maintaining strong controls and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
• Proactive, team player, able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Interest in the international financial world.

Responsabilités

• Prepare Financial Statements according to Dutch GAAP and IFRS concepts.
• Prepare bookkeeping including accruals, interest, sales entries, and capital contributions.
• Review dividend distributions and capital contribution requests.
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly client reporting and CIT & VAT returns.
• Prepare audit files and assist with statutory audits.
• Run quarterly transaction monitoring and create transaction profiles.
• Prepare Central Bank reporting (CFI) for the Netherlands.
• Maintain communications with shareholders, clients, banks, and other external parties.

Scope

You will report directly to the Manager Accounting Services Corporates. In your day to day activities you will work with experienced Financial Services Accountants, along with dedicated relationship managers and legal colleagues.

You will work together with the internal stakeholders to ensure high client satisfaction, solve complex questions and provide a full range of corporate services for your client entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Financial Statements;
• Prepare bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, capital contributions, intangibles, according to Dutch GAAP but also IFRS principles);
• Review and/or prepare the (dividend) distributions and capital contribution requests;
• Review and coordinate client-specific monthly/quarterly reporting;
• Review and coordinate the CIT & VAT returns;
• Prepare the audit file and provide assistance with statutory audits;
• Perform quarterly transaction monitoring and create transaction profiles;
• Prepare CFI reports for Dutch Central Bank;
• Maintain contact with shareholders, clients, banks, accountants and other external and relevant parties.

Key requirements

• Good level of Dutch GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is an advantage;
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Dutch is an advantage;
• You are proactive, a team player, focused on quality, persuasive, able to set priorities, work with deadlines and flexible;
• Interest in the wider international financial world;
• At least 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably at a trust office, audit firm or other financial institution;
• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance (for example Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration).
