Job summary

Vistra Netherlands is hiring a Senior Financial Services Accountant - Funds based in Amsterdam. You will report to the Manager - Fund Services and join a team that delivers extensive fund accounting, reporting and investor communications.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in VC/PE fund accounting, strong Dutch GAAP/IFRS knowledge and excellent English. The role offers hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package with focus on growth and development.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in audit / accounting in Venture Capital/Private Equity Fund industry.
• Prior experience with another Fund Administrator or Fund Manager is preferred
• Sound knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS
• Excellent command of English (verbal and written)
• Adequate Excel skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Review bookkeeping (accruals, interest calculations, investment movements) per Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare/Review periodic reports.
• Prepare/Review Financial Statements and assist with statutory audits.
• Prepare/Review Capital Account Statements and Net Asset Values (investor reporting).
• Review fund documents like subscription documents, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements.
• Prepare/Review capital calls and distribution notices.
• Prepare/Review waterfall and equalization calculations.
• Coordinate with Fund investors to meet reporting requirements.
• Handle investor requests and liaise with the Centre of Excellence.

Reporting to the Manager - Fund Services, this full-time and permanent position is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Fund Services and its growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation/Reviewing of bookkeeping (e.g. accruals, interest calculations, sales entries, movements in investments according to Dutch GAAP but also IFRS)
• Preparing/Reviewing of periodic reports
• Preparation/Reviewing of Financial Statements and assistance with statutory audits
• Preparing/Reviewing Capital Account Statements and Net Asset Values (Investor reporting)
• Reading/understanding Fund documents like Subscription documents, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements for existing/new funds
• Preparing/Reviewing capital call and distribution notices
• Preparing/Reviewing waterfall and equalization workings
• Coordinating and dealing with Fund investors on meeting investor’s specific reporting requirements
• Reviewing investor requests and any ad hoc requests from client
• Client contact and communication with our Centre of Excellence

Key Requirements

• Effective client-handling skills
• Strong prioritizing ability and organizational skills
• Analytical, meticulous, and systematic in approach to work
• Possess 3-5 years of experience in audit / accounting fields in Venture Capital/Private Equity Fund industry.
• Prior experience with another Fund Administrator or Fund Manager is preferred
• Sound knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
• Adequate excel skills
• Possess a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Economics, Business Administration or equivalent;
