Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery of technical, asset-replacement and infrastructural projects on site for a major global energy client.

You will act as the client's single point of contact, ensuring adherence to PM processes, managing scope, schedule and budget while maintaining safety in live industrial and laboratory environments. 7–10+ years' experience and PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• PMP certification (PMI) or PRINCE2 acceptable.
• 7–10+ years managing technical or infrastructural projects, including team-lead or PMO roles.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for client on operational project questions; manage expectations and cadence.
• Align with maintenance on new project requests, feasibility, and prioritisation.
• Chair steering committee and status meetings; escalate issues with options, not just problems.
• Ensure all project managers follow defined PM processes and templates.
• Own scope control and change requests to prevent scope creep.
• Steer planning, critical path, and interdependencies across multi-project portfolio.
• Own budget adherence and reporting variances.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards before handover to operations.
