Job summary

Van Oord in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to design and engineer offshore wind turbine foundations and related temporary works, serving as a technical lead from tender through design to implementation, contributing to the energy transition.

You bring a Master’s in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with expertise in steel structures, fatigue, dynamics and hydrodynamics; strong English; and willingness to travel to Gorinchem for a 32-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of steel structures, fatigue analysis, structural dynamics and hydrodynamics.
• Experience in offshore wind or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve analysis tools, work methods and procedures.
• Lead design and engineering of offshore wind turbine foundations.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Support installation, production and technical challenges.
