Job summary
Van Oord in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to design offshore wind turbine foundations and related temporary works from tender through detailed design. You will be a technical lead in the structural design team, delivering safe, innovative solutions for major offshore wind projects.
You hold a Master’s in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of steel structures, fatigue analysis, structural dynamics and hydrodynamics, plus strong English.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering as a baseline.
- Experience with offshore wind or related industries is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Structural Mechanics, Dynamics, and FEM software.
- Excellent command of English in writing and speaking.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve analysis tools, work methods and procedures.
- Initiate and support innovations on foundations and installation methods.
- Design offshore wind turbine foundations from tender to detailed design.
- Design secondary structures and electrical infrastructure supports.
- Oversee production supervision and equipment for implementation.
