Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Project Regulatory Manager to support major offshore FPSO projects. You will identify, manage and ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, standards and certification requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate regulatory activities across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, and act as the main contact with authorities and classification societies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Approximately 10 years' experience within offshore oil and gas.
• Experience managing regulatory compliance on major offshore FPSO projects.
• Strong understanding of offshore legislation, approvals and certification processes.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Experience liaising with clients, regulatory authorities, classification societies and contractors.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Regulatory Management Plan, identifying applicable legislation, regulations and certification requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory compliance throughout engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning phases.
• Act as the key point of contact between the project team, clients, regulatory authorities and classification societies on regulatory matters.
• Work with engineering, construction, commissioning and operations teams to integrate regulatory requirements into project activities.
• Monitor regulatory actions, reviews, inspections, audits and surveys, addressing findings and closing out.
• Ensure the project meets all regulatory approvals and certification requirements before delivery.
• Manage regulatory queries and assess changes in legislation for impact on the project.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of Regulatory Engineers, Site Engineers and Inspectors.
• Ensure contractors meet regulatory obligations and provide evidence of compliance.
• Prepare regulatory documentation and handover packages for operations, maintaining permits and certifications.
• Provide regular updates to project management on regulatory progress, risks and compliance status.
