Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety & Environment across offshore wind, high‑voltage cable installation, and energy infrastructure projects. This hands‑on leadership role requires shaping strategy, mentoring site teams, and aligning with Dutch and EU regulations including ISO 45001/14001.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an HSE leadership role in offshore wind or related energy infra.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch and EU HSE regulations and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership with ability to influence at all levels.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, HVK, MVK or VCA.

Responsibilities

• Lead all HSE activities across onshore and offshore operations.
• Develop and implement HSE plans, policies, and procedures.
• Manage a team of HSE advisors and staff across multiple project locations.
• Conduct high-level site audits, inspections, and management system reviews.
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and timely close-out of corrective actions.
• Provide expert HSE support during project planning, risk assessments, and method statement reviews.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, environmental compliance, and safety training initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety culture through leadership engagement, coaching, and workforce involvement.
• Report HSE performance to senior management and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Represent the company in client meetings, industry forums, and regulatory interactions.
