Job summary

Innatera is a rapidly growing Dutch semiconductor company developing neuromorphic processors for AI at the edge. We seek a Senior NPU SDK Software Engineer to own the Python API, PyTorch customization, and the compiler for end-to-end applications.

You will work with a cross-functional team to translate complex hardware specs into efficient software, improve power and latency, and support customers adopting our SDK. A strong growth mindset and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Extensive experience with PyTorch and its customization.
• Proven track record designing modular, maintainable and testable software architecture.
• Experience in low-power resource-constrained embedded programming.
• Familiarity with hardware/software co-design concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full life-cycle of SDK features, including the simulator and compiler, or API and the SDK infrastructure.
• Set and uphold high standards for code quality, maintainability, testing, and release readiness.
• Conduct code reviews and improve engineering practices with robust documentation.
• Collaborate with Digital Design, Firmware, Applications to translate algorithms into efficient, testable software behavior.
• Provide support to internal teams and customers to enable SDK development.
• Contribute to improving power consumption, latency, and performance bottlenecks for edge-AI solutions.
• Keep innovating by bringing latest trends to keep the product competitive.
